Alameda Theatre Albemarle Enterprise Sept 28, 1916 Work on the new Alameda Theatre is going rapidly
forward. Mr. Thompson, manager, is temporarily using the Opera House for
displaying the Universal Films. He is booking several special features for

The Alameda Theatre, going up just above the Parker-Little Furniture Company, will also soon be completed. The front is of white pressed brick. Contractor Moody says it will be one of the most handsome theatres in the Piedmont section. The new building is very attractive and will prove a popular place for all movielovers. Don Quixote, a Triangle Feature, was shown Tuesday, and it pleased all who saw it. A.B. Thompson, manager of the Alameda, says that he means to show the best films obtainable during the coming years. |
