At different points there were various businesses located in the office space just outside the Opera House Auditorium.  

East side: 

• 1930's to 1960's - Beauty Shop

            Operated by Ruth Peeler from the early 30's until approximately 1937, prior to her 

            marriage to FE Starnes II.

          Under different owners, the beauty shop remained in this space until the early 1960's.

• Mid 60's-  Liberty Mutual Life Insurance Company  

West side:

• 1907 to ??? - Optometrist Shop  

           Operated by F.E. Starnes I from the point the building was opened.  Date closed is unknown.

• 1930's - Law Offices 

           Law practice of G.D.B. Reynolds (son-in-law of J.C. Parker)

• Approximately 1940 to 1948 - Optometrist shop 

           Operated by Cecil Duckworth

• 1948 - This space has not been leased since 1948.
